SPC Technologies LLC is a company with more than 25 years of experience in the field of power electronics. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, research, and testing of power semiconductor conversion devices and excitation systems for turbo- and hydrogenerators.
We operate at the intersection of science, engineering, and practical implementation. We develop equipment that not only meets international standards but is also adapted to the operating conditions of Ukrainian thermal power plants (TPPs), combined heat and power plants (CHPs), hydroelectric power plants (HPPs), and industrial facilities.
The company was founded in 1995 in Zaporizhzhia by specialists from OJSC “Converter Research Institute”. From the outset, the enterprise brought together highly qualified circuit engineers, designers, and test engineers — professionals who for many years had developed power converters, units, and assemblies for the energy and industrial sectors.
Our solutions are deployed at numerous energy facilities across Ukraine, including the Ladyzhyn Thermal Power Plant, where we acted as the developer of the control cabinet, software, and full technical documentation. This experience laid the technological foundation for subsequent generations of systems.
We design and manufacture excitation systems for large synchronous machines both independently and in cooperation with partner enterprises.
Since 2019, SPC Technologies LLC has been a member of the ENERGO-PLUS Energy Consortium, which also includes:
- NVP ENERGO-PLUS LLC (Ukraine) – a leading designer, developer, and manufacturer of industrial automation systems, power supply solutions, and various electrical systems for Ukrainian enterprises and private companies
- NPP ENERGO-PLUS EUROPE Sp. z o.o. (Poland) – a developer of excitation systems and a supplier of electronic, power, and electrical equipment
- TWERD ENERGO-PLUS Sp. z o.o. (Poland) – a leading developer of frequency converters and inverter systems
- Hrupa Kompanii Vysokovoltni Tekhnologii LLC (Ukraine) – a leading developer and manufacturer of medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment for distribution networks.
Within the consortium, we implement comprehensive projects of any complexity — from the modernization of a single unit to the complete electrical retrofit of a power plant.
At SPC Technologies LLC, circuit designers, design engineers, and test engineers work in close cooperation, eliminating interdepartmental barriers. This allows us to significantly reduce the development cycle — from technical specification to shipment of finished products.
For us, it is important not only to implement a solution but to ensure its high efficiency and reliability. We provide full life-cycle support for our equipment, including preventive maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
Since 2020, our specialists have been developing and deploying fast electric vehicle charging stations supporting CHAdeMO, CCS, and GB/T interfaces.
In 2023–2024, together with our partners, we manufactured 28 excitation systems for PJSC Ukrhydroenergo. All systems successfully passed testing on our in-house test benches in Zaporizhzhia.
Our contribution to the project included:
- Design and manufacturing of thyristor blocks with axial fans
- Design and manufacturing of thyristor discharge panels and digital pulse-phase control systems based on based on the ARM Cortex-M4
- Development of engineering and technical documentation

The company operates its own test benches, utilizes PTC Creo Parametric for 3D modeling, and maintains a modern technical and production base. Our systems are equipped with proprietary microprocessor-based control solutions built on the STM32(ARM Cortex-M4), as well as solutions supplied by EMERSON.
